A terrific indie-rock band. Vampire Weekend established their unique and unlikely sound on their music, which combined popular African music with Western classical music, punk, new wave, and packaged in a unique concoction. Describe their genre of music as "Upper West Side Soweto" They're also notable for their unique lyrics from Ezra Koenig (lead vocals/guitar), using unique nouns in his songwriting to make it sound really cool.
